The “911 Online Voluntary Registry for Citizens who have Special Needs” is Live! (Delaware)

The emergency managers, the transportation managers, and the disability and aging communities have developed for you an Online Voluntary Registry to help you prepare yourself for emergencies.

We are live with our brand new Online Voluntary Registry at https://alertregistration.com/DENS/.

The Delaware ‘9-1-1’ Board, the Department of Safety and Homeland Security, and the Developmental Disabilities Council invites you to complete your information if you are a person with a disability, someone who is older, a person who uses English as a second language, or for a child in care.  This registry is a secure site for you to enter your information for emergency use only.  This information will help first responders help you.

This registry is one step towards preparing yourself for any emergency in Delaware.  There is also information included to help you prepare yourself in your own home right now.

Hello world!

Welcome to my new blog!

Please subscribe so you can receive information on resources and events in our community.  The purpose of this blog is to replace the email blasts I send out periodically, so I can have one convenient place for families and professionals to go for information.

I’m an amateur blogger, so any tips would be appreciated!  In the meantime, I’ll be learning all I can to make this a robust blog that flourishes with timely information for you, your family and/or the families you serve.

Enjoy!
