4th Annual Crab Feast Fundraiser to Support Brain Injury Programs
 
Dover, Delaware – The Brain Injury Association of Delaware (BIAD) is hosting its highly anticipated annual Crab Feast Fundraiser. The fourth year of this fundraising event represents a new start! The event is all-new this year from the venue to the menu!
 
Date:    August 6, 2011
Time:   4:00 to 8:00 PM
Menu:  All you can eat crabs, corn on the cob, chicken tenders, hush puppies, French fries, and non-alcoholic beverages (cash bar will be available)
Venue: New Leipsic Fire Hall, 318 Main Street, Dover DE 19901
Cost:    $30.00 per person / $7 for kids ages 5 – 12  
 
BIAD has teamed up with the Leipsic Fire Hall Ladies’ Auxiliary to produce this year’s event, which has also been sponsored in part by the Eastern Shore Seafood, Papen Farms, Inc., and Pepsi Co. Come to crack crabs and show your support for brain injury programs. Enjoy live entertainment, D.J., and assorted raffles.

Nationally, Traumatic Brain Injury has reached epidemic proportions, with more than 1.5 million Americans suffering a TBI each year. Brain injury is a leading cause of death and disability in Delaware. In Delaware, more than 40% of all TBI-related hospitalizations are caused by falls, and the secondary is motor vehicle accidents. 
 
BIAD is the only charity of its kind in the state, and provides services within Delaware and parts of the Maryland. BIAD continues to serve a rapidly growing population of brain injury survivors with social and education programs, and multiple support groups.

“Lose the Training Wheels Program” – Bel Air, MD – June 20th – 24th

Lose the Training Wheels Program Is Coming to Harford County the week of June 20th-24th, 2011.  The event will be sponsored by The Arena Club and Mountain Christian Church, In partnership with Harford Bank, Bel Air Kiwanis, Maryland Coalition of Families and Christman Family Chiropractic.
